A Perfect Day to Go Boating!

we went boating today. it was SO much fun! i am hooked now and expect to go every weekend this summer. haha. i loved spending the day with mick's family! there was a lot of tubing, junk food, laughing, smiles, and a wonderful memory was made.

kenny loved being on the boat! i was super worried about it at first but he did great! 

and just for fun...

 i love seeing how much my old roommate and i changed since our first boating trip together. were babies back then. single. wild. carefree...mostly. silly. eating a lot of taco bell,drinking pepsi and 80's dancing. i had mega long hair and hers was short. now we're old. married (happily!). i'm a mama. she's owns her own home. and my hair is shorter and her longer. it's funny our hair is probably about the same length now. haha!

and for those of you who don't know...liz introduced me to my husband. i love her.

our day via photos

this is a look into our day (yesterday) i took a picture every hour. it was actually hard. and not as fun as i thought it would be. can you take too many pictures in one day? yesterday almost felt that way. oh well. this is a fun post however! i would definitely say it was worth and i will probably do it again...in the NOT so near future. but again.

7a.m. i woke up to this little man crawling to my bed to snuggle. 

8a.m. breakfast time!

 9a.m. we decided to take a walk to the farmer's market. when we got there all we found was a huge pile of construction (of course...we are in utah). so disappointing.

 10a.m. we continued our walk though for a while. on our way back my feet were blistered from my shoes. it was strange. i wore those shoes all winter why the heck am i getting blisters? my feet must know its summer. they only like flip flops and sandals.

11a.m. kenny went down for a nap and i blogged! YAY!

12p.m. he's awake!

1p.m. after lunch we went outside. kenny discovered the raspberry bush. i could not keep him away from it and he was starting to eating the one's that weren't ripe yet. so we went inside and he was unhappy.

2p.m. the chaz loves my bed. he thinks its his...

3p.m. just a little 80's photo session with my boy. 

4p.m. kenny is getting into my wallet. again. this was probably the 3rd time that day.

5p.m. kenny was taking his second nap and i had a little snack. peanut butter and nutella on a tortilla. it was pretty good. not my favorite.

6p.m. watching the colbert report with dad. i'm not even kidding, he loves that show.

7p.m. i detailed the car. :) it looks good!

Oh hey 80's!!

um...yes. this just happened! 

Do-It-Yourself Business Cards...

apparently it's a good idea to bring business cards to blog meet ups/mingles. i didn't know this until about 10 minutes before i was going to leave when i saw another lady going to Soel's mingle saying she was making cards last minute. um...me too!

here is what i came up with. i am actually pretty pleased with the final product.

what you'll need:

~kraft cardstock
~computer
~printer
~washi tape
~paper cutter

step one:
design your card, i just used microsoft word but you can use anything you like (i.e. whatever mac has, photoshop, etc). i used {this} website to get my QR code. i only put my name and blog address on my card but the next ones i do i will add my etsy shop and possibly email. who knows. i made three columns and spaced out three designs in each column. you will need to cut these in 2"x3.5" so make sure they are spaced so that you can do that.


step two:

print your design on your cardstock.


step three:

cut your cards in 2"x3.5" measurements.



step four:


add washi tape for fun! it really made a huge difference adding the washi tape. it just added that extra awesome-ness  that the cards needed. they were pretty plain and boring without. 

AND voila'! you're done! hand them out! send me one! or at least take a picture so i can see. :)

Mingle, Jef, and mingle with Jef.

so i went to this blog, social media, blah blah...thing.

i was suppose to meet up with some friends but they were unable to make it last minute so there i was...standing alone, all awkward like trying to decide if i should head home or just stick it out and maybe try to introduce myself. um...could i seriously be any more awkward. i don't know what the heck happened.  luckily two of the nicest, sweetest girls came over to compliment me on my skirt (good thing i wore something cute). Elizabeth and Brooke, you two are awesome. THANK YOU SO MUCH for coming to say hi!
